Beyond stunning and beyond helpful!
"First off, bear with me as this is going to be a long review. I came across Forest Ink and the Beetle dress immediately made my brain misfire. I NEEDED this dress. I looked through the model measurements and went with a size medium. Now, I know this is a bodycon dress but the medium was absolutely too small for me. I contacted customer service to find out about returns/exchanges and how long they take as I purchased this dress specifically for an upcoming concert in November. They told me once I dropped it off they would immediately push a size large to me in advance. (I showed them photos of me trying it on as that was all I did before repackaging it). Super excited! So I dropped the medium off at UPS and a wonderful person and lifesaver Bishop let me know that they were processing my size large to come out to me. Unfortunately something happened and the medium and large went out of stock. I was absolutely heart broken. Bishop asked me if I would want to try the XL to see if it fit. I wanted this dress by all means but I was worried. I probably sent 4 email responses to that one question. Saying I'd try the XL and then if it didn't work could I then get the medium back that was just a little too small when it got back to them. I thought they would say no so I also responded that if the XL didn't fit I would exchange it for the Mortician dress in a large. Now that's a beautiful dress but again, I NEEDED this dress. I got the XL. It wasn't terrible. There were places it was too large but when I tried it on the waist wasn't terrible. But I tossed it on over a built in bra tank top. When I tried it on how I planned to wear it, well it was huge. 😔 So back to emails with Bishop. I told her that it unfortunately did not fit. And a miracle happened. She messaged me back the next morning letting me know that a size large had been returned, brand new. I was beyond ecstatic! Not only was there a large for me, but Bishop was looking at what was going on, kept me on her mind and when the large came in made sure it was put aside for me. I got it in the mail yesterday. Now, I already knew the cut and fabric were amazing. The side splits are beautiful and the overlap is stitched to prevent it from rising up too high. It sits perfectly at the mid-thigh. The fabric has that weight to it showing its quality and it is just so soft and flows perfectly hitting all the right spots highlighting the beautiful bodies it was going to accentuate. And that large? It fit perfectly! Like a second skin, but better. I'm 5'5" and the length is perfect. I can wear heels, platforms or even flats and it will work amazingly. The cut out is a beautiful feature bringing a little bit of sexy to the top half, where the M split gives sexy on the bottom. And the ties to cover your top half are double lined. I wouldn't necessarily say you don't need a bra. But I'm also a 34DDD. I can not wait until the concert so I can really dress this up but I am going to show off pictures of all 3 sizes. The customer service here at Forest Ink is literally, no doubt, the best customer service I've ever come across. That woman deserves a raise. And the dress? Don't wait, buy it! The first photos are the amazing large. The second set (there are 2) show the XL waist falling off me, and the medium I look like I'm a stuffed sausage. Overall this is true to size. I just went based of model measurements and not the sizing guide. Buy anything from this company! I will be back for so much! I can't say enough amazing things about my experience and the item!"
