Crafted from our signature stretch twill, the Melancholia Skinny Pants deliver both structure and exceptional stretch with our signature stretch twill. Finished with premium hardware including YKK zippers, it also features a high waisted fit and lace up sides for full adjustability.

How to measure:

Bust: With your top and bra off, measure around the fullest part of the bust and under the arms. Make sure the tape is straight across your back.

Waist: Measure around the narrowest part of your natural waist. Keep the tape somewhat snug, but still comfortable loose. 

Hips: Stand with your legs and feet together and measure around the fullest part of your hips.

Care instructions:
Reduce your carbon footprint and increase the lifespan of your clothing with lower temperature washes.

Wash at cold temperatures.
Air dry or tumble dry low

Super cute, great fit, poor quality

"These would be 5 stars if they were either better quality or cheaper. They're so cute and I feel so cute in them, but the quality for price is unacceptable. The stitching on one back pocket failed and was unusable upon delivery. The other back pocket failed after one wash. Unusable pockets aren't unheard of in women's clothes, so I can deal with it and use the front zip pockets instead. Unfortunately after 4-5 wears, it looks as though the main seam in the back is about to fail and there are elastic looking fibers poking out throughout the fabric. For $130, these pants should be much higher quality."

Comfy, stylish, and durable - hell yeah!

"These pants are a THICK, stretchy material that feels tough. It is the same material as the drumline top/skirt. The hardware is so well constructed. The laces are thick and comfortable. They do not have lengths, but I am 4'11 and they either bunch a bit around my ankle or go past my feet and around my heel without shoes on. It is what it is, but I make it work."

"I'm honestly kind of disappointed.. these pants are a lot of money and they are super cute and fit super good and are comfortable.. the first time I put them on though, i sat on my bed and both of the pockets on the butt of the pants literally ripped and my hand and items go completely through the bottom now. They are no longer functioning pockets.."

Awesome but size down

"I love these pants! I usually wear XL in forest ink, but…. I should’ve got a L. These are extremely stretchy so I wish I got a Large. Love the fabric, the side pockets are great and deep and actually fit my whole wallet lol. 10/10 but size down"

Awesome!

"These pants look fantastic! The material is stiffer than everything else I've bought from Forest Ink but it's not uncomfortable. I usually wear a large in this brand, (Hips 40" Waist 35") and these are TIGHT. Not so much I'd consider them to be the wrong size but something to consider if that's a concern for you. I love these pants, I've been wearing them at every opportunity! Also they have decent sized pockets. Not like men's pants but more than the average women's brand for sure."

Seemingly perfect until washing

"When I say I absolutely wanted to love these pants, I wholeheartedly mean it. Especially after spending $130 on pants. Typically I find that Forest Ink items go above and beyond in terms of quality and longevity. I have the Rosemary Bloomers and Alice Leggings and both are two of my favorite pieces. When I first put these pants on I was thrilled. Comfortable, quality, and flattering. Loved them. And then I washed them (as per manufacturer recommendations of course). While my other Forest Ink pieces still look new wash after wash the same cannot be said for these pants. After just one wash I noticed what I assume to be some sort of elastic type fibers all over at the seams. It looks kind of like hair but obviously is not. Additionally, it’s the seam began to split. I was very surprised as while I might expect this type of things from other brands, I held Forest Ink to a higher standard. I wanted to love these and give them 5 stars, but I no longer reach for these $130 pants due to these imperfections. It’s heartbreaking"

Don't Hesitate! No Regrets!

"I was very skeptical about these pants and paying so much for them. I am so glad I did! Well worth every penny and I would say they are true to size. Very comfortable and tucked everything in which is nice as a mom of three kids 🤣 Anywho absolutely worth it and the quality is amazing! I'm 163 lbs and about 5'6" ish. I am wearing a medium and wear about a size 10 - 12 in jeans ❤️"
