Bust: With your top and bra off, measure around the fullest part of the bust and under the arms. Make sure the tape is straight across your back.
Waist: Measure around the narrowest part of your natural waist. Keep the tape somewhat snug, but still comfortable loose.
Hips: Stand with your legs and feet together and measure around the fullest part of your hips.

"These shorts are very high quality. I do love them, they are very thick and seem to last awhile. I have to exchange mine. I usually wear a small or a medium in things (though I get larges a lot due to liking things looser). I had to get a XL for the L I ordered because the L was very tight in my thighs. I do have very large thighs due to running and training. Just realize the fabric doesn’t have give where the metal pieces are when picking your size."
"Too tight around the legs because the grommets prevent stretching. Size up more than you think you need to especially if you're plus size. They fit everywhere except the legs, I was able to fit them, but they limit range of motion and if I was to move certain ways I think they would rip in the leg. If you get the correct size I'm sure it would be fine. The shorts sit higher in the thigh because of how short they are so if you are measuring your thigh I would measure the thickest part of your thigh and also where they would be sitting to make sure they are comfortable and then I would also size up because of the lack of stretch."

"I want to start off by saying that I love this brand and have a lot of pieces from here, I am usually a size medium (sometimes small) in both the tops and bottoms that I have previously purchased from forest ink. That being said, if you are someone with a pear or hour glass figure, these shorts are probably not going to be for you. The fabric on these shorts has very little stretch, and the grommet band has no stretch whatsoever (this is very different than the lace up shorts from here which I own and love) I have tried on up to a size XL, and these shorts are still very tight on the thighs. I think these could work on someone with smaller/straight sized thighs, but unfortunately the shorts do not work for me."
